We recently contacted you regarding our plans to offer relief from membership fees to those who need it during these tough times, and we can now share the details of those plans with you.
As you know, Cranbourne Golf Club’s rich history began in times of great adversity and has evolved into the resilient community we are all part of today. As custodians of our beloved club, we have been developing ways to provide financial relief without compromising our future and are pleased to announce an innovative offer that we believe is a win-win for both members and the club.
For Members of full playing categories*, we are offering three options for you to choose from; Donate to the Club, Waive two month’s fees, or Continue paying as usual.
On that note, we are pleased to also announce a new initiative in collaboration with the Australian Sports Foundation to allow tax deductible contributions to continue our investment in the club through financing capital improvements.
Specifically, this money will be targeted towards:
- New entry gates at Glasscocks Road
- Relocation of the Foundation gates to the car-park pathway as a welcome to our course.
- Upgrade of on course bathroom amenities at the 11th hole
- Redesign of the tee complex on the 11th hole and removal of trees behind 10th green
- Relocation and reshaping of fairway bunkering on the 4th & 5th holes and
- Refurbishment of the 12th shelter hut
So now the choice is up to you and we ask you to select from one of the following:
- Donate to the Club – I will maintain full fees but redirect two months (1/6th) of my annual subscription to the Club as a donation through the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF). I can use the amount as a tax deduction and the club receives the fees back from the ASF as a grant for course projects to make my Club even better.
- Waive/Refund Two-Month’s Fees – A bit of help is appreciated, please waive/refund my November & December fees (1/6th of my annual subscription).
- Continue to Pay as Usual – I want to help the club and I can continue to pay my subscription as usual.
The club has taken unprecedented steps to navigate the impact through the Victorian restrictions, and we are deeply committed to emerging from this pandemic with a stronger club for everyone to enjoy into the future.
We trust this update and offer demonstrates our commitment to preserving the spirit of our club started by our founders including Syd Kaufman – Founding President and Harold Lasky – Founding Vice-President (shown in the photo above) and all our members past and present.
Together we have worked so hard to build and protect our club. Now in these new times of adversity we will continue to address the immediate needs of our loyal members.
