Coaching Programs
To improve your golf you need to get better at 3 areas of the game.
1. Technique,
2. Distance or accuracy control,
3. On Course play.
For the majority of golfers, when they have golf lessons they normally
only have the lessons on technique. Whilst this seems logical, to lower
your handicap or improve your scores, technique improvement alone will
not help lower your scores. The ability to control what the ball does
and then make it go the required distance, is critical.
Whilst out on course the ability to make the best decision on course
regarding which shot to play is also paramount.
Here at Cranbourne, our Lesson/ Development Programs look at not only
improving your technique but also ensuring you can control what the ball
does in terms of shape and distance. We also take you out onto the course
and help with your course management.
Our programs start with a 2 hour assessment of your game where we have
you do a scoring test to accurately determine where your game is letting
you down. From this we can then draw up a tailored program to best improve
what you are weakest in and put you on a path to sustained improvement.
Do not suffer bad golf for very long as we can help you get better and
improve your enjoyment.
Come and see either Mark or Ben and we can organize to do an assessment.
New Gear
Over the next week we have some new putters and fairway woods arriving
from TaylorMade.
The new Kia Ma putters are all hand made by Kia Ma himself. Kia Ma has
been hand making putters for tour players for years, and has helped design
the very popular Classic range that are in our shop. This second range
of Kia Ma putters that he has produced, feature the insert system that
is found in the classics range. This insert produces excellent forward
roll to help you hole more putts. The putters are 100% milled from forged
304 Stainless steel providing superb feel and balance. Being forged we
can also custom make them to your length and lie angle as well. We are
getting two models in which you can demo, the Daytona and the Fontana.
Try them out when they come in.
The new Burner Fairway woods compliment the hugely popular Burner Driver.
This club has a low centre of gravity that allows the ball to get airborne
quicker meaning more distance. It is also significantly lighter and has
a longer shaft in it, which also make the ball travel further. All in
all a great club for mid range handicap player to help you play better.
Golf Trip
In the middle of next year (2011) I am looking at running a golf trip
overseas to either China or New Zealand. If anyone is interested in
coming along, please contact me in the pro shop. More details will
follow in the near future.
